I went to Finland end of July for summer holiday and i cannot help to notice how much Finnish people love ice cream. My partner is from Finland and he is not an exception. He used to eat ice cream pretty much everyday here in Malaysia and the consumption amount was, i must say near ridiculous. So i did a bit of research on internet and found out that Finland is in fact listed in "World Top Ten Ice Cream Consumer Countries" (http://www.mapsofworld.com/world-top-ten/world-top-ten-ice-cream-consumer-countries.html). During this trip, i noticed ice cream booths were few hundreds meters away from each other and they were so available. Not to mention the choices of ice cream you can have. The price was also very reasonable and the size was humongous! Here is a sneak preview just how many ice creams we had when we were there.
The chocolate mint ice cream is to die for. Another thing is licorice. You can find licorice in almost everything, from candies to ice creams, you just name it! However, you should try the licorice ice cream. Those who love licorice you will be in heaven. As for me, I'm not a big fan of licorice as it reminds me of cough syrup :-) .
Anyhow, it was a good trip. Finland is definitely a beautiful country although it was quite an expensive trip, but we were lucky that the summer weather this year was simply beautiful. More about Finland, visit http://www.visitfinland.com/en/web/guest/finland-guide/home
